Fief Vendéen de Pissotte |
 |
| GAEC COIRIER - Viticulteurs - Vendée |
It is impossible nowadays to come to the Vendée and not try Xavier Coirier Family's Pissotte wines ( since 1895).
And take back with you part of our beautiful vendée.
With the outmost respect for a traditional balance, we keep our plants at a high density of " 6000 stock (ceps) per hectares".
The turnover is light (50 hectolitres per hectares) and we also keep sufficient matured vines (60% of our vines are 20 years old and over some are even 60 years old)

You will experience a good long after-taste |
White: " La petite groie " - Red : " The Melusine " - White, Rosé and Red selection "
Light and tasteful (between 11 and 12 degrees), never too aggressive and always with respect for the natural balance ( No chemical treatments in the process of stabilisation except when necessary and under strict control of the minimal use of sulphur dioxide).

The vineyard might be small (54 acres) but it is renowned for its truthful taste and its originality. Based on the foothills of the Vendeen's bocage with its ground consisting mainly of clays/flints - facing full south , the Pissotte vineyards benefit from having an exceptional amount of sunshine (1600 hours per year).
