Inside, there is a spacious lounge with fireplace, the room furnished in a contemporary manner, but with the addition of several pieces of antique furniture.
A modern fitted kitchen / dining room is fully equipped with kitchen appliances and there is also a double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor.

Horse riding is available in a Riding School 4kms away.
There is also free use of a tennis court in the grounds of the chateau du Paligny during the morning.

Close by is the well-known forest of Mervent, home to game of all kinds including deer and wild boar and where one way go for pleasant country walks. Many sites of interest are available for visits in the immediate naighbourhood. In particular, there are two old churches of great beauty: one in Pouzauges and the other - a lovely example of a roman church in Vouvant. |

The magnificent beach of les Sables d'Olonne is a mere one hour from the house, a beach made up of soft white sand stretching for 3km along the lovely seafront. There are several excellent seafood restaurants to choose from, all of them offering a large variety of fish from the bay to suit all tastes. |
