LE GITE DE BAUDE

Thérèse and Serge Fillonneau welcome you to their country cottage of the "marais poitevin" in the South - Vendee. This "gîte" is situated in a rural hamlet of Baude 2km from Montreuil , 12 km from Fontenay the Comte and only 45km from la Faute sur mer and the beaches and 60 km from la Rochelle . This ancient farm of 130 m2 was completely renovated in 2002 with the concept to keep the architecture of the region and to create a very comfortable and warm country house. The fuel fired central heating allows the gîte to be opened all year long. Optional length of stay a weekend, one week or more ….

	Outdoor : The extensive grounds contains a swimming pool shared with the owner. The pool (10x5m, depth 1.20 to 2m) is heated from middle may till september. Well tended enclosed grounds of 1200 square meters Patio. BBQ .Garden furniture, barbecue. Table tennis. Bicycles.

For you to discover from the doorstep of the gîte, the countryside around " the gite de Baude" is ideally suited to easy walking and cylcling. Two footpaths allow you to discover the fauna and the flora of the marais poitevin. several cycle-tracks give you the opportunity to discover the architectural heritage of the marais poitevin and its charming villages . When wandering about you will find the abbey of Maillezais within 10 km along with the convent of Nieul .They tell you the history of the country and life of the maraichins.

In the surroundings :
Mervent , Vouvant with their forests where you can go fishing or swimming and with their guided footpaths and mountain bikes-tracks are worthwhile.
The Atlantic coast with cities like La Rochelle(60 km away) and les Sables d'Olonne with their islands like Ile de R é and Fort Boyard are beauties .
The marais poitevin with its waterways where you can go canoeing and horse-riding.: boating trips, canoes : you can hire small boats with or without a guide and punt your way around the small canals and tributaries.
Historic cities Fontenay le Comte. Vouvant: medieval village.
Unforgettable events at Puy du Fou at 70 km and Futuroscope in Poitiers at 100km

	High season 28/06 AU 12/07 ET DU 23/08 AU 30/08 915 euros
	Mid season 05/04 AU 28/06 ET DU 30/08 AU 27/09 450 euros
	Low season 05/01 AU 05/04 ET DU 27/09 AU 20/12 340 euros

Prices include all except heating (low and mid season) .A deposit of 300 euros is required on arrival and handed back on the last day.

Bathroom towels and house linen are provided.

We propose also cleaning option ( 48 euros).

Our prices do not include the “holiday tax” (taxe de séjour) from 1^st June to 30 th September
