Gîte Clévacances (3 clés) at La Caillère St Hilaire - Vendée |
La Treille is a comfortable gite in the Vendée region of Western France; recently renovated tastefully and to a high standard.
It is set in the two acre park of the owner's home, where there is a 10 x 5 salt-water swimming pool, a hard tennis court and plenty of room for children to run off steam or make a camp in one of the wooded areas.
Or perfect for you to lounge around on a comfy sunbed, catching up on all that reading !

There are two double bedrooms (one with a double bed the other with two singles); a bathroom with WC, washbasin, bath with shower over; a large salon with two extremely generous sofas, TV/DVD, dining table, well stocked bookcase (which you are free to enjoy) and large wood-burning stove; the kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and the various bits and pieces you might hope to find.
All linen and towels are supplied by the owner and a change of bedding can be arranged at the end of each week. Baby paraphernalia is available on request.

La Treille is in the small village of St Hilaire du Bois, in the bocage region of the sud Vendée.
The closest town is Fontenay le Comte, originally the capital of the department and full of beautiful Renaissance buildings; the lovely towns of La Rochelle, Nantes and les Sables d'Olonne are all about an hour's drive. The closest beach is around fourty five minute's drive.

If you are coming by air, La Treille is about an hour from the international airports of La Rochelle and Nantes - served by Ryan Air, Easyjet, FlyBe, BA and AerAraan.
If you are coming by train, the TGV comes in to both Nantes and Niort, both an hour's drive.
If you are taking the ferry, St Malo is about three hours away, Caen around four and a half hours and Roskoff around five hours
