Come and spend a few days in a former 19th Century schoolhouse, located in the heart of the “Bocage Vendéen”. You will find peace and quiet, whilst enjoying the charm and facilities of La Chataigneraie.

The Courtille Schoolhouse is an original and unusual site : You can still find Vidal de la Blanche 's school maps on the walls along with original homework corrected in red ink. Above all, it is a high standard accommodation with the capacity to house up to 7 people.

Ground level :

Hall with utility room, separate toilets, fully fitted kitchen, drawing/dining-room with antique style stove.


Bedroom accessible to people with reduced mobility with 2 single beds (80x200), shower room and toilets.


   


On the first floor :
A small corridor leading to

•  The « romantic » beige bedroom with a kingsize bed

•  The « Teddies Bedroom » with 3 single beds (80x2OO),

• Bathroom with separate toilets.



Outside :
Terrace, patio furniture, covered yard, private car park, 9x5 heated swimming
(from 1 st may though to 30 th september), bowling patch.

The Courtille Schoolhouse
is located 40 km from the Puy du Fou, 22 km from Fontenay le Comte (Railways Station), 65 km from the seaside and one hour drive from the Futuroscope.

Nearby : pedestrian and cycling courses, rock climbing, canoeing. .
