La Claverie, an 18th century property, is situated in the heart of the village of Sainte-Radégonde-des-Noyers. The village can be found in between two contrasting settings : behind the property are the marshes of the "Marais poitevin" and from the front of the house in the evening you can see the lights of the Île de Ré. |

A room decorated with artefacts brought back from our travels in Africa over the years : wall coverings from Kenya, masks from the Republic of Benin, sculpted doors from Mali, sculptures from Cameroon, material from Ethiopia, etc.

| The Blue Room |
 |
A room of a pale blue like the summer sky where the birds pass by. Blue like the sea in springtime, the sea which is nearby.

A room to remind you of days gone by with pastel colours, trinkets and antique furniture.

The Food
We love making our own jams from the fruit in the garden and making terrines with our own herbs. We also serve delicious fish dishes, prawns from local waters and shellfish.… In summer, breakfast and dinner are served in the garden.
Places to visit in the area
There are many things to see in the region : the nearby Bay of Aiguillon, the marshes of the "Marais poitevin", the beaches of the Vendée (20 min drive), La Rochelle and the Île de Ré (25 min drive) and various abbeys and churches.
Bird Watching
Bird watching is our passion. Here we are lucky to be surrounded by natural bird reserves that make good viewing areas : Bay of Aiguillon , Saint-Denis-du-Payré, Nalliers, Pointe d'Arçay, Lilleau des Niges. (Ornithological weekends can be organized upon request).

How to find us ?
From Paris on the A 10 motorway then the A 11 to Angers, take the A 87 then A 83 to Exit Sainte-Hermine-La Rochelle. Follow RN 137.
By TGV : Paris to La Rochelle in less than 3 hours.
